On Wednesday 20th March 2024, Shine Steel Band CIC celebrated its first birthday!
As a complete surprise to everyone, Debbie, who plays the tenor drums in Tobago, made a very special cake for us all. It was modelled on the drums with blue sides and a black/grey icing on top representing the drum's playing surface and notes. There was even a wafer stick each with a marshmallow on top to represent the mallets/sticks. In the middle was the figure 1 written in chocolate silver balls. What an absolute treat and what a lovely thing to do, thank you so much Debbie!
