Shine held its first ever taster session for the local community in Dartmouth and the surrounding towns and villages on Tuesday 28th March 2023 and it was an outstanding success!
The session was divided into two groups of eight and both groups were taken through a few basic drumming rudiments and technique and then it was straight onto the drums for a go at that popular Reggae classic, Uptown Top Ranking. Once they'd mastered on one drum it was all change to another drum (a bit like speed dating but with steel drums!) and away we went again. Everyone had a fantastic time and enjoyed themselves immensely.
All the hard work and planning was well worth the effort. Thank you to all of you who came along, it was so nice to meet you all and we hope to see you all again next Tuesday.
