What A Fantastic Weekend!

On Friday 17th and Saturday 18th July the band played their inaugral gigs at the Flavel Arts Centre in Dartmouth and the Watermark Theatre in Ivybridge. Having never performed in front of our own fee paying audience before, Shine performed two back to back Reggae parties at these wonderful venues and what a fantastic time we all had. Tickets for both parties were Sold Out which is incredible given that this was our first go at putting something like this together.

It was wonderful to see so many freinds, family and local people enjoying our music and soaking up the Caribbean party mood and atmosphere with their Hawaiian shirts and flowery dresses on. These were party nights with dancing and fun for everyone and it was so encouraging for the band to see everyone joining in and making the most of the occasion. Thank you all for coming along and joining us, we are so grateful and we hope to see you all again soon at one of our next performances.

A huge thank you to Michael, Val and everyone at the Flavel and to the wonderful Jackie, Mel and everyone at the Watermark for all that you did to make our evenings special. We really appreciate the thought, care and work that you put into producing our events and for the yummy food and amazing cocktails that everyone thought were delicious. Thank you so much.

Thank you to the band and congratulations on becoming stage performers! You did yourselves very proud and Rose and I are over the moon with your level of professionalism and musicianship, what a superb band and close group of friends we have become in just three years. Proper acoustic music, proper performances, proper people, you REGGAE!

Here's to the gigs next month at the River Shack and Blackpool Sands in August!
