Sparkling Shine Debut At BRNC

On Thursday 10th April 2025 Shine Steel Band CIC made a sparkling debut at the IWOF (International Warfare Officers Foundation) Dinner. A smaller ensemble from the Band performed a selection of popular Reggae pieces from their ever growing repertoire for the IWOF Drinks Reception in the Wardroom Bar. Along with the drinks, our music went down really well and some of the guests were noticeably jiggling and dancing to our steady beats!

This was the first time some of the band had been to the College and so it was an ideal opportunity to take in the sights and the heritage and witness a regular live event that is all part of the training cycle of a Royal Navy Officer.

We had a great gig and it was a pleasure to play for BRNC, our thanks go to Sub Lt Kathryn Moore RN who booked us for the event. We look forward to returning to BRNC one day soon to play for the Royal Navy again...Rule Britannia!
