What a fantastic time we had on the evening of Saturday 22nd February 25 when six of our Shine Steel Band family went along to the Exmouth Pavilion to watch an amazing band called "Absolute Reggae'. This is a Midlands based band whose extensive repertoire feature some top Reggae stars including, Bob Marley, UB40, Eddie Grant, John Holt, Toots and the Maytails and many more.
We started with pre-concert drinks (of course!) and a meal at the Ocean Bar on the seafront which was a great way to get things going. Although the meal was very late in coming out meaning we had to rush it a bit, the Ocean was very gracious and gave us all a full refund, which is amazing, thank you the Ocean Bar.
The concert was such a buzz and we were dancing and singing along all night until it was time to go home. Two of our group (who shall remain unnamed!) took a 'shine' to the lead singer, well, only half of him, starting at the waist!
Anyway, it was a fabulous evening out and we are looking forward to the next time...
